Submission
This topic should open a can of worms..lol. It got me booted out of the Christian forum. According to Christian belief, the Bible says that a wife should be submissive to her husband.. seen and not heard. This has been taken so far that in some Christian churches a woman is not allowed to speak, let alone become a Clergy member. She is not only submissive to her husband but to God as well. This has been an issue for women for a very long time. It was actually only recently that women could enter into the seminary, and they still can only get ministry jobs in the churches that tend to be liberal. To my way of thinking being submissive to anything is a bad thing. People who are held in submission, such as slaves, tend to try and burst through that submission at some point. Honoring and respecting a spouses wishes is one thing, but being submissive is quite another thing. What do you think? Love and Light.. Linda
