The Elements
I love the idea that most Pagans do call upon the Elements in any kind of work they may be doing. To me, this is a respect for the Earth. Our bodies are made up of the exact same elements that the Earth is made up of. We, are in essence, and extension of the Earth itself. I don't know if personally I consider fire to be an Element. It is more a result of the mixture of Earth (tender) and Air. In fact, I know that some traditions do not call Fire. But, in due respect, Fire is an essential part of our survival. It provides us with warmth and the ability to cook our food. Some traditions call upon metal, and others call upon spirit. Whatever we call upon or however we do it, it is a beautiful ritual of respect and honor. Love and Light.. Linda
